2015 Toyota Tacoma: Old School Truck that Will Never Disappoint You

If you know that Toyota Tacoma is a powerful and reliable vehicle, you can still expect the same performance and reliability from 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Yes, the ride may be quite classic (don’t say it old), but there are so many promising things that you can hope from this powerful midsize truck.

Review 2015 Toyota Tacoma

General and Basic Features
There are some promising features that you can expect from the upcoming new 2015 Toyota Tacoma. It has pretty decent fuel economy system with 16 mpg for the city and 21 mpg for the highway. For some people, it is not great, but it isn’t bad either; considering that the ride has been in the market for quite some times. With decent look and quite generous spacing, the ride can accommodate 5 adult passengers quite nicely and comfortably. If you have been familiar with Tacoma’s great name and performance, you should know that comfort and convenience are the major factors that Toyota is concerned about.

Promising Features
When the auto 5 speed transmission is paired up with four wheel driving system, you can certainly expect the smooth, subtle, and agile ride. Not to mention that you can enjoy the heated seats and Bluetooth connection, although you may not get navigation system. Just because Tacoma is considered as a midsize truck, it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t pack enough power and energy for towing. With solid stance, sturdy structure, and high quality materials, you can be sure that this vehicle will deliver all the promising features. The engine department is also nice, with the options of V6 engine as well as fuel friendly four cylinder engine that will make everything complete. Whether you want to take this vehicle for offroad activity or cruising down the busy urban traffic, be sure that this is the perfect ride to do so.

New Expectation
There are some changes that are going to happen to this new 2015 Tacoma. The regular body cab won’t be available anymore, as there are only double cab (crew cab) and access cab (extended cab) available. Moreover, the previous TX TRD Baja has been replaced by the new TRD Pro option.  Despite all the good stuffs, you can’t really expect everything to run perfectly. Yes, the new Tacoma is promising, but there are some flaws that you may want to be concerned about. No changes have been done to the vehicle, so it is pretty old school and boring – for some people, at least. Some of the features that seemed to be luxurious in the past are getting old these days, such as the not-so-impressive interior cabin and the interior arrangement.

Trims and Levels Options
As it was mentioned before, the new Tacoma is offered in Access Cab model (with 6.1 ft bed) as well as the Double Cab (with standard 6.1 ft or shorter 5 ft bed). For the Access Cab, you can enjoy power locks, 15 inch wheels from steel, folded rear seats with additional storage underneath it, steering wheel with tilting and telescoping feature, cloth upholstery, USB/iPod connection, Bluetooth connection, and also optional sliding rear window. The Double Cab adds up power mirrors, black fenders, adjustable headrest on the 60/40 ratio for the rear seat, adjustable driver lumbar, and also rear bulkhead storage.

Power and Performance
The Tacoma is running on four cylinder 2.7 liter capacity engine or the powerful V6 engine with 4.0 liter capacity, along with four wheel driving system or the rear wheel driving system. The four cylinder engine is able to deliver 159 hp of power, which is quite solid and good when paired up with manual five speed transmission in Access Cab variant. Meanwhile, the Double Cab gets auto four speed transmission for smooth and responsive performance. The V6 engine is able to deliver 236 hp of power, paired with auto 5 speed transmission or the manual 6 speed one. The Double Cab is able to reach 60 mph within 7.7 seconds, which is quite impressive for such midsize truck.

2015 Toyota Tacoma Engine

All in all, not all truck variants are heavy and loaded. There are so many reliable features to expect from this line. If you want a truck that won’t give you hassle or trouble, the new 2015 Toyota Tacoma will be a great option. Comparison : Details on 2015 Toyota Tundra Truck
